Last year’s economic growth in Romania led to a significant increase in the number of litigation or arbitration instructions. In this context, there has been a growing need not only to develop the court and arbitration system – and to achieve a specialisation of judges and arbitrators in terms of various types of litigations and arbitrations – but also to create the legal protection necessary and the best procedural means, similar to those in the European Union (EU).

Accordingly, the specialisation of lawyers, mainly those working within large Romanian law firms, has significantly deepened.
