The revamped silk selection process has been hit by new delays, it has emerged, with the body responsible for the new scheme confirming that no more appointments will now be made until the summer.
The Queen’s Counsel Appointments (QCA) body had previously been scheduled to unveil the first of its round of new silks – the first batch of new QCs since the 2002-03 silk round – in the spring.
