rosen: clearedHerbert Smith’s in-house barrister and head of advocacy, Murray Rosen QC, has been cleared by the Bar Council disciplinary arm over a complaint that he acted under a conflict of interest while advising a client on a settlement in 2004.

The complaint, filed with the Bar Council in June 2005, arose out of negotiations held in 2004, in which Rosen was advising Tom Crema and John Moreland-Lynn on a claim against former business partners Keith Halsey and Andreas Heeschen. Halsey and Heeschen were advised by Herbert Smith.
