DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary has topped a list of mid-market private equity advisers ahead of a slew of national rivals, according to new research that shows the national giant carving out a major chunk of the competitive buy-out market.

The research, compiled by Lloyds TSB Development Capital (LDC) for Legal Week‘s sister magazine unquote”, shows DLA Piper bagging roles on 52 deals worth more than £1.7bn during 2005, with the top 10 firm accounting for two-fifths of deal activity in the UK mid-market.
