brimacombe: legal focusStandard Chartered has shaken up its legal department, appointing four new lawyers to its in-house team and creating a new governance structure that will see head of legal David Brimacombe relinquish his company secretarial role.

Brimacombe will continue as the bank’s head of legal, but the company secretary role will be taken by Charles Brown, who joined on 1 September from FTSE 100 drinks group Allied Domecq, where he was deputy company secretary.
