Linklaters has topped newly-created league tables for equity and debt capital markets work, it has emerged, beating a host of US rivals for the second quarter of 2005.

The magic circle firm came top of the equity capital markets tables, which rank legal advisers to both the issuers and the banks on non-US transactions, as well as easily topping the debt capital markets table for global bank advisory roles.
