DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary is to allow its 1,400 UK lawyers to count pro bono work towards their billing targets as the firm moves to step up its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

The scheme, which kicked off this month, will allow the firm’s UK fee earners to count up to 30 hours of approved pro bono activities a year towards their annual billable targets – which in theory could generate more than 42,000 hours annually.
