Successful applicants for Silk are to be charged £4,050 for the privilege of becoming QCs under the revamped system for awarding the prestigious kitemark.
The cost of applying for the scheme was revealed by Sir Duncan Nichol, chairman of the Silk selection panel, on Monday (11 July) as he set out the timetable for the first Silk round for three years.
