Spain’s top 50 law firms generated fees of more than 1bn (£683m) for the first time, according to new research which shows the national legal market clocked up 9% revenue growth in 2004.

Research by Spanish business newspaper Expansion shows growth at the country’s top 50 law firms of 9.3%, up from 956.2m (£653m) in 2003 to 1.04bn (£710m) in 2004.
