The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) has pledged to press ahead with plans to create a model conduct code for European Union (EU) lawyers, despite the recent derailing of the flagship services directive.
The CCBE held a meeting to discuss the plan on 1 April with a view to drawing up a voluntarily code of conduct that would be applicable nationally in the member states.
