In August last year, the fast-growing Newcastle firm Watson Burton made the surprise announcement that it was to set up shop in Leeds, following the hire of ex-Pinsents corporate and banking partner, Andrew Gosnay.
Gosnay’s hire was swiftly followed by the announcement that the firm had acquired high-profile insolvency partner Graham Ridler, formerly a lawyer at Eversheds, from Deacons in Hong Kong.
