Meanwhile, Hammonds has successfully defended a multi-million pound negligence claim made by former client Accident Assistance.

The claims hire company last year filed the action against its former adviser, valued at around £4m. The High Court’s Chancery Division ruled in Hammonds’ favour last Friday (18 February).
