A&O united on Glazer bid

Allen & Overy (A&O) has reaffirmed its commitment to high-profile client Malcolm Glazer – amid reports that the firm was set to quit its role advising the US sports tycoon on his potential bid for Manchester United.

A spokesperson for the magic circle firm described as “completely inaccurate” reports over the weekend that A&O had resigned from its role advising Glazer on the highly leveraged putative bid. The firm restated its determination to see the bid through.
