Corporate boutique Dickson Minto has secured a lead role alongside Herbert Smith and Travers Smith Braithwaite on the £1.35bn sale of insurance and holiday group Saga, in one of the most hotly-contested auctions of the year.

The Anglo-Scots firm’s senior partner, Alastair Dickson, advised winning bidder Charterhouse, while Travers private equity head Charles Barter acted for Saga.
