Mansfield confirmed as Bar Council chief

Clinical negligence specialist Guy Mansfield QC has been elected unopposed as the new chairman of the Bar Council.

Mansfield, who is currently vice chair, practices from 1 Crown Office Row. He takes up the role in January, taking over from incumbent Stephen Irwin QC of Doughty Street. He was elected unopposed.
