Lovells swoops for second Spanish hire

Lovells has made its second senior Spanish hire after securing a partner from Landwell’s local legal member as the top 10 London firm gears up for its Madrid launch in October.

Landwell Abogados y Asesores Fiscales litigation partner Jose Luis Huerta is the UK firm’s second appointment after former Cuatrecasas M&A partner Jose Maria Balana de Eguia, who joined Lovells in March to launch the firm’s long-awaited Madrid arm.
