Linklaters dispute leads to Spanish rights uproar

Linklaters has lost a court case in Spain against a former lawyer over severance pay, in a decision that has plunged the employment rights of the country’s lawyers into confusion.

The case centres on the employment rights of a former Linklaters lawyer who – like the majority of local lawyers – practised as a self-employed worker.
