Philadelphia’s largest law firms are set to be hit with a new tax on legal services that will cost local leaders such as Dechert, Morgan Lewis & Bockius and Duane Morris millions of dollars in revenues.
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – the state’s governing body – has proposed tax reforms to classify legal services as sales and bring lawyers under its current sales tax system.
