FSA to regulate claimant insurance firms

fsa: set to bring claimant firms under regulatory umbrella Claimant insurance lawyers will next year come under Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulation, Legal Week has learned, if their practices form a major part of their partnerships’ business.

The surprise move is expected to force several law firms from January 2005 to register with the FSA as part of the upcoming overhaul of general insurance regulation.
