For starters, trying to provide any actual input into the strategy is usually as well received as Roman-era Christians offering nutritional advice for the lions. It’s also obvious that you’re going to be expected to come up with an IT strategy “which enables the firm’s business strategy”. Now, since the average law firm business strategy is about as ripe “for enabling with IT” as your average boatload of rotten bananas, that’s quite a challenge.
