When rubber-faced comedian Bobby Davro broke down on stage during a panto over Christmas he blamed the affair on “sheer exhaustion”.

But The Diary has another explanation for the incident at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal on New Year’s Eve – he’d recently had a bruising encounter with DLA.
