UK lawyers overwhelmingly concede that leading business law firms have failed to attract enough ethnic minority lawyers, and more than half believe such firms are making only minimal or no effort to improve their diversity record.

These are the key findings of the latest Legal Week/EJ Legal Big Question survey of more than 100 law firm partners, that found 67% of respondents claiming that non-white lawyers are ‘under-represented’ at commercial law firms. An additional 19% agreed they were ‘grossly under-represented’.
