Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer is to create a new commissioner to oversee the Law Society’s complaints handling division after delivering a damning indictment at the society’s annual conference today (26 September).
The newly created role will effectively upgrade the powers of the Legal Services Ombudsman, Zahida Manzoor, handing the office powers to set targets for the Law Society’s complaints handling performance.
