Four national firms have fallen victim to a root-and-branch panel review at insurance giant Zurich that has seen the consolidation of its five general insurance panels into one super panel.

DLA, Eversheds, Davies Arnold Cooper (DAC) and Irwin Mitchell are among the victims of the shake-up that was announced by Zurich’s head of claims Bill Paton last week. The three-month review has seen the number of panel firms Zurich uses cut from 28 to just 14.
