Imagine the furore if research revealed that half the Ftse CEOs believed that they were overpaid. A poll by Legal Director‘s sister title Legal Week revealed that half of the senior lawyers working in private practice believe just that about City law firms. Thirty-six percent say partners at top UK firms are ‘overpaid’, with another 14% believing they are ‘grossly overpaid’.
Magic circle firms fared the worst with a massive 66% of the senior lawyers questioned stating that partners in the magic circle firms are either ‘grossly overpaid’ or ‘overpaid’.
