The Big Question

Salary chart The decision of Clifford Chance (CC) to cut the salary bands of its assistant solicitors has received overwhelming support in a survey of leading lawyers, with almost half of the respondents saying their firms are likely to follow CC’s lead.

The latest Legal Week/EJ Legal Big Question survey of more than 100 of the UK’s leading law firm partners found 80% of the respondents describing CC’s decision to cut its salary bands as a good move.
