The two candidates from international firms running in this year’s Paris Bar Council elections look set to secure places on the powerful 36-member Council.

In the first round of votes on Monday (25 November) senior Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner Yves de Mahenge came in fourth position with 2,221 votes with Alain de Foucaud, co-managing partner of the local arm of LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae, coming fifth with 2,130 votes.
