Simmons & Simmons has ditched the 100% voting hurdle for a range of major partnership decisions in a move designed to hand more power to the City firm’s management.

The change in the firm’s partnership deed allows Simmons to tackle major issues with the majority backing of partners – thought to be 75% – and comes just weeks after two senior partners announced on 4 October they were to leave for US firm Latham & Watkins.
