Irwin triumphs in Bar Council election

Top claimant clinical negligence specialist Stephen Irwin QC has won a three-way battle to be the Bar Council’s vice chairman – in a move that will make him chairman in 2004.

The high profile Doughty Street tenant beat off a strong challenge from commercial silk Julian Malins, of Littleton Chambers, and professional negligence and public law specialist Guy Mansfield QC, of 1 Crown Office Row.
