Girl in fieldIt is interesting to consider whether the citizens of Aarhus in Denmark are aware of all the activity arising from their legislative namesake – the Aarhus Convention, set to become one of the most important pieces of environmental legislation in recent years.

Its full title, the Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters, is not as tuneful as, say, the Human Rights Act, but its impact could be equally, if not more, profound.
