Top 20 US firm Sidley Austin Brown & Wood has launched its first office in mainland Europe after winning a prestigious cross-border trade team from a US rival.
Under the deal, Sidleys is taking over the bulk of Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy’s trade law team, including 29 US-based lawyers and the Atlanta-based firm’s two-partner, two-associate Geneva office.
