National pro bono scheme set for launch

The attorney general, Lord Goldsmith QC, has launched the UK’s first nationally co-ordinated pro bono body, aimed at matching supply and demand for pro bono legal services across the country.

Lord Goldsmith will chair the committee, with Irwin Mitchell senior partner Michael Napier acting as special envoy.
