In World War II Station X at Bletchley Park was home to men and women who devoted their lives to deciphering such famous codes as Enigma and Lorenz. They were experts in breaking codes. For experts working under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), the codes of ‘practice’ and ‘guidance’ are not so much codes to be broken as code breakers to assist experts and those instructing them in deciphering Part 35 of the CPR (CPR).
