Chimneys and the lack of them dominated the entries to this month’s caption competition – but three entries that did not go down the chimney route stood out. We liked this from Shepherd & Wedderburn projects partner Chris Arnold: “You were right, it’s Christmas Day and these lawyers are all at their desks” and the following from Macfarlanes private client solicitor Damian Bloom: “Hang on a minute – I’ve got a plan” to the tune of ‘it’s a self preservation society’ (The Italian Job).
But the undoubted winner – and recipient of a bottle of Scotch – is the above from Rowe & Maw property partner Gary Bownes.
