DLA Piper has hired a partner from Linklaters’ South African ally Webber Wentzel as its local managing partner.
Webber Wentzel partner Johannes Gouws is the first partner DLA has hired in South Africa since opening an office in Johannesburg last year, after its relationship with local firm Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr ended last August.
