CC has offered 55 of its 66 trainees a role at the firm. Of those, 54 accepted a position to become newly qualified (NQ) lawyers, resulting in a retention rate of 82%.

The results are up on the same point last year, when the magic circle firm retained 76% of its intake after keeping on 39 qualifying trainee solicitors out of 51. It is also up on its September 2012 results, when it held on to 48 of its 62 trainees.
