De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek has appointed a new managing partner, with competition partner Martijn Snoep set to replace Mark Biesheuvel at the helm of the Dutch firm.

The appointment, made last week (24 September), will take effect from the beginning of 2010, when Snoep will start a four-year term. Biesheuvel, who has served one term in the post which he took up in 2006, will return to full-time fee earning in the litigation practice.
