Peter L. Frattarelli

Partner, Labor & Employment Practice Group
Archer

Peter L. Frattarelli is the Chair of Archer’s Labor & Employment Practice Group. He regularly represents management and employers in labor and employment litigation and proceedings. Peter has extensive experience defending employers and individuals against harassment and discrimination lawsuits, as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. These include claims for race, gender, sex, disability, national origin and age discrimination. His management defense experience has been in a wide variety of contexts, ranging from unlawful discipline through wrongful termination. Peter’s litigation experience also includes an emphasis on defending against retaliation and “whistleblower” claims. He has handled numerous cases defending employers against claims of failure to accommodate the needs of disabled persons, including several cases that sought to extend the disability protection laws against employers and places of public accommodation.

Peter also has an extensive labor law background, representing and providing advice to employers, in a number of different contexts, ranging from day-to-day wage and salary issues up to actions and proceedings involving labor organizations. This includes the defense and prosecution of unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board as well as representing employers involved in union election campaigns. He has also successfully represented employers in proceedings in state and federal court seeking to enjoin union picketing. In addition, Peter’s labor law experience includes the defense of numerous individual employee grievances filed before neutral arbitration panels. He also has negotiated for, and counseled, management during union collective bargaining agreements for private and public sector employers. Pete has conducted harassment and discrimination training for numerous clients across the country.

Elena J. Voss

lena J. Voss currently serves as Associate General Counsel for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ms. Voss counsels the institution on a variety of legal matters including employment law, union-management relations, benefits, immigration, and contracts.

Prior to joining the Museum, Ms. Voss served as Corporate Counsel at Arrow Electronics. Previously, she counseled a variety of corporate clients as a member of the labor and employment practice groups of two leading law firms, Jones Day and Proskauer Rose. Ms. Voss received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Melinda Morrison

Associate General Counsel & Director of Labor, Employment & Litigation
Armstrong World Industries

Melinda Morrison is Associate General Counsel and Director of Labor, Employment and Litigation at Armstrong World Industries, Inc. She is responsible for all labor and employment compliance, strategic planning and execution related to changes in labor and employment law, management training on various topics such as anti-trust, OSHA and NLRB compliance, outside counsel management, and litigation. She works closely with the General Counsel and Human Resources senior leadership teams to execute on strategic priorities and initiatives including increasing diversity, labor negotiations and litigation matters.

Prior to working at Armstrong, Melinda had roles as Corporate Counsel and Assistant General Counsel in the financial and insurance services industry and in the technology industry. Her experience includes M&A leadership, benefits consolidation, environmental site management, antitrust and commercial work. As the lead employment law attorney for the companies she represents, she regularly partners with human resources to manage employment-related risks and compliance with federal, state and local labor laws. She has developed and delivered impactful anti-harassment training company-wide and provides guidance on compliance matters including leading compliance investigations.

She has served on the Board of Directors for the Columbus Speech and Hearing Center and the Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School, and is an active volunteer with her daughter’s school.

A native of Ohio, Melinda now lives in Lancaster, PA with her partner and her teenage daughter. Melinda has a BA from Miami University, and a JD from Villanova University School of Law.
