Hours after withdrawing from Bill Cosby’s defense in the civil suits against the entertainer, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has pulled out of the criminal case.

According to a July 12 petition to withdraw their appearance as counsel for Cosby in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania, Quinn Emanuel attorneys Christopher Tayback and Joseph Sarles said that while they were withdrawing from the case, Brian McMonagle of Philadelphia-based McMonagle, Perri, McHugh & Mischak and Monique Pressley of The Pressley Firm in Washington, D.C., would continue to represent Cosby in the criminal matter.
