On Oct. 27, 2019, during the evening hours, plaintiff Lester Eldridge, 64, was at the residence of Richard Austin, a family relative, in Philadelphia. Austin's kitchen was on the second floor and had a door that led directly to his deck. Eldridge claimed that when he exited the kitchen door, he stepped to the right onto the deck and fell off, falling approximately 12 feet to the ground. Eldridge suffered a leg fracture.
