The city of Philadelphia’s motion for summary judgment in regard to a retired police officer’s employment discrimination action was denied after a federal judge determined genuine issues of fact existed and good cause had been shown.

U.S. District Judge Mia Roberts Perez of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania determined retired officer James Schuck’s claims of employment discrimination under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (PHRA) could proceed.
