The lawyer who spearheaded successful efforts challenging the removal of a Christopher Columbus statue in South Philadelphia is now demanding that several city officials resign over their handling of the dispute.

Bochetto & Lentz attorney George Bochetto sent a letter to city attorneys Jan. 16 demanding the resignation of all members of the Board of License and Inspection Review and the Historical Commission, as well as its executive director, over the proceedings that unfolded last year after the city attempted to have the contentious statue removed.
