What began as a pricing dispute regarding the transfer and storage of coal between plaintiff Southern Coal Corp. and defendant Drummond Coal Sales Inc. seemed to have ended with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia awarding a $6.8 million breach of contract judgment in favor of Drummond.
