The Pittsburgh-based member firm of global law firm Dentons created a C-level position to optimize its cross-selling potential with other member firms in the Dentons U.S. network, hiring away the chief development officer of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott to fill the new role.

Harold Balk began at Dentons Cohen & Grigsby on Oct. 4 in the firm’s newly created role of chief client relationship officer, after concluding an 11-year tenure at Eckert Seamans, leaders confirmed this week. Prior to working at Eckert Seamans in 2009, Balk served as business development manager at Reed Smith for nine years.
