Incumbent Judge Dedra Davis of the 270th District Court in Harris County faces a formidable opponent this year in Michael Landrum, a veteran judge who has presided in the 164th and 113th district courts.

Davis has held the office, handling civil matters, for almost four years, having defeated Republican Brent Gamble in 2018. She was challenged in this year’s May primary but walked away with a 55.7% margin of victory.
