Western District U.S. Attorney William Hochul Jr. will become general counsel of the corporation that owns the Boston Bruins hockey team when he retires, the entertainment and hospitality group Delaware North Companies announced Monday.

Hochul, 57, had announced earlier this month that he would retire as of this Friday after six years as the chief federal prosecutor in the Buffalo area, and after nearly 30 years as an attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice (NYLJ, Oct. 6).
