Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom has promoted to partner Boris Bershteyn, litigation; C. Michael Chitwood, mergers and acquisitions; and Jon Hlafter, insurance mergers and acquisitions.

O’Melveny & Myers has added patent litigators Lisa Barons Pensabene, Marc Pensabene and Filko Prugo as partners in the intellectual property and technology practice. Pensabene will become firmwide head of life sciences litigation. They previously practiced at Fitzpatrick Cella Harper & Scinto.

• Real estate firm Adam Leitman Bailey P.C. has elected to partner Leni Morrison Cummins, in the condominium and cooperative practice; Jackie Halpern Weinstein, in the title insurance and foreclosure practice; and Rosemary Liuzzo Mohamed, in the residential and commercial lender practice group.

Danielle Gray has joined O’Melveny & Myers as a litigation partner, splitting her time between the firm’s New York and Washington, D.C., offices. Gray will be a member of O’Melveny’s financial services practice. She has held a number of senior legal and policy roles in the Obama administration, most recently as President Barack Obama’s chief liaison to his cabinet.

Andrew Lerner has joined independent investment bank Moelis & Company, New York, as a senior vice president and senior counsel. He was formerly senior counsel at Credit Suisse Securities.
