A former campaign treasurer for U.S. Rep. George Santos, R-New York, pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiracy Thursday in Long Island federal court, the same courthouse where her former boss is facing a 13-count indictment charging him with multiple fraud schemes.

Nancy Marks, 58, pleaded guilty to a criminal conspiracy charge for discussing her work with “Co-Conspirator #1,” which is clearly shown to be Santos through details shared in the document, notably that the co-conspirator was elected to represent New York’s 3rd Congressional District in November 2022.
