Looking to regroup after losing its restructuring team in a lateral move, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan said it has acquired a White Plains-based bankruptcy boutique, Luskin, Stern & Eisler.

Five of the six partners from Luskin Stern are now under the Stroock umbrella, with one deciding not to make the move. Partners Michael Luskin, Richard Stern, Matthew O’Donnell, Alex Talesnick and Stephan Hornung are joining the firm on Aug. 1, the firm said. Associate Genna Grossman will also be making the move.
