An unnamed student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice has sued to stop the City University of New York from enforcing a vaccine mandate that he said violated his religious rights.

The Nov. 17 complaint argued that the CUNY policy “irrationally” targeted students over faculty or other employees, and discriminated against those who refused to take the vaccine due to sincerely held religious beliefs.
